My aunt from Boston introduced me to a new (to me) version of a typical beef and mushroom stew.
Its a long braise of beef, wine, mushrooms, cranberries and then finished with lots of cream. I'll only add a little cream and the cranberries add just the right amount of tang to the gravy.
Served with your choice of egg noodles OR rice AND cooked veg.
I plan to roast Brussels sprouts and sweet potatoes.
