Fresh, healthy and delicious meals - To Go!
Dinner by Six (Db6) is a fresh meal/catering service that offers the healthiest and most family/environment-friendly "take-out" in Ottawa. Db6 serves:
- highly nutritious* food prepared from scratch using a rainbow of produce and many plant-based proteins every week
- home-style and international dishes dishes that can be enjoyed by flexitarians, vegans AND kids!
I have been testing and growing Db6 in central Ottawa since 2018. The Db6 model is currently a one-person operation in a basic kitchen. While I have reached the limits of my time and space for operating Db6, I know there are many more households that would order Db6 if I could only handle the extra business.
SO, in order to make fresh, nutritious and delicious take-out more widely available in Ottawa I am working on written and video training materials so that another individual, or small team (even more efficient!), would be able to produce Db6 for new customers in their immediate area.
* Dinner by Six delivers an anti-inflammatory diet at no extra charge! I follow the news in health and nutrition science (e.g., Leslie Beck, Dr. Brian Goldman) and designed the menu to be very healthful as well as delicious. Every week, the menu offers a variety of:
- dark leafy greens
- bright yellow produce
- other veg - all colours!
- whole grains
- nuts
- plant proteins
- salmon (every other week)!
Consuming an anti-inflammatory diet is proven to foster brain and heart health and to help with rheumatoid arthritis and Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
